I’ve been working with Will for almost seven months now, and it’s been nothing but a positive experience. He was originally recommended to me by a friend, and I think it says a lot about both his character and coaching ability that so many of his athletes and friends confidently recommend him to others. His passion for both powerlifting and his athletes is obvious, and he does an incredible job balancing technical coaching, support, and humor when training gets tough. When I started working with him, I was dealing with a shoulder injury that had been limiting my training for months. Through smart programming, he helped me return to four pain-free bench sessions per week and completely rebuild my strength. At Regionals last October, I hit what was then my max bench at a 9/10 pain; now I can do that same weight for 8–9 reps completely pain-free. For squats, he quickly identified my weak points (weak ahh quads) & with a few programming adjustments, I’ve achieved a squat PR in nearly every training block since we began working together. He’s also been remarkably patient and insightful with my deadlift. We’ve explored multiple technical variations to find the approach best suited to my leverages and strengths, and I’m eager to see where that progress leads. Beyond the numbers, I’m most grateful that he’s made powerlifting fun again. After a frustrating meet prep marked by injury, pain, and stagnate progress, I was feeling burned out. His coaching, encouragement, and trust in the process helped me rediscover my love for the sport. I couldn’t recommend him more highly to anyone looking to get stronger, stay healthy, and reach their potential in powerlifting!!!
